Philippines : Why do I love thee ?

Allow me to share the sentiment of my friend and church mate Cathy Mendoza to one of the blogs I posted regarding Filipinos who migrated to another country. 

I do hope you feel the same or could this blog be an eye opener for us to rekindle our love for our countrymen and our country The Philippines ?

Cathy bluntly  commented , naiinis ako with Pinoys who migrated and then become so vocal of what they hate about the Phiippines. If they chose to migrate, fine with me.  But the rule is, "if you have no nice words to say about your country, don't say it."

Sorry sa masasagasaan but I share the same sentiment as negative comments is very commonly  expressed by Filipinos who migrated to another country. "Mabaho, matraffic, magulo, mausok, madumi, walang sistema ... etc... etc..." just some of those negative remarks we hear from some overseas Filipinos and even from local Filipinos. 

This could be true but let's not forget that Filipinos are just a victim of Bad Governance and should not be a reflection of what Filipinos really are, people with  pure and humble spirit not to mention being so resilient, friendly and hospitable.

We should hate the havoc orchestrated by the corrupt politicians that ran and running our country but I urge you not to hate the people and "The Philippines" as a whole. 

We should show our love to our country whether you are living in the Philippines or away overseas not because it is the right thing to do but because you know what Filipinos are generally are s people and The Philippines as a country.

Our country is rich in natural resources, gifted with very beautiful sceneries and  breath taking islands that you can only find in the Philippines, nature at its best. This is the same reason why tourists from all over the globe, despite of all the negative things they are hearing still pack their bags and risk it all just to be in Paradise... the paradise they call  The Philippines.

The same as the land, the people is also beautiful inside and out. Filipinos are so welcoming and famous of being so hospitable. They put their heart on whatever they do and this alone is an assurance that you are getting the best out of that person. Filipinos are so heart warming and the smile they on their faces is their trade mark.

Why do I love the Philippines ?

Because this is where I grew up.

Because this is the place where I had so much beautiful memories.

Because this the place I can genuinely smile and laugh my heart out.

Because I am a genuine Filipino in deeds and heart.
