Twisted Kiwi Vocabulary
Kiwilary ( so you’ll understand them
beta)
KIWI – “
it’s a bird, it’s fruit, no, it’s a Kiwi”. Kiwi is the acronym for New
Zealand which is also their National bird.
PIN - not that small
thingy that pricks your finger when you stitch or attach a medal into your
toga.        For kiwi this stands for the
instrument you use for writing or commonly known as “PEN”.
CAD – if you are
thinking of the computer programme that engineers use for their designs. Cad is
actually CARD with a silent “R”.
HAD – oppsss, sorry
but you are wrong, this is not the past tense of “Has”. Same as CAD, this is
HARD with a silent “R”.
LIFT – this what we
commonly call ELEVATOR.
YOU RECKON – this is not
Raccoon Kiwi Style. This simply mean “You think so ?”.
SUPA – our super hero
is not Superman but SUPAMAN. Get it ?
CENTA – here they are
not targeting the center but the CENTA. Get it again ?
WRONG WI – doesn’t
mean they want Playstation over Wii. This means WRONG WAY.
DICK – not what you
think. This is where you want to enjoy a lovely sunny day while preparing the
bbq for a nice summer meal. Let’s use it in a sentence, “Dick is enjoying the
day on his new Deck.
No disrespect to Visayan speaking Pinoys but you will not
adjust so much here as they speak the way you do.
